An Ode to Shannon

 Today's outfit is inspired by my friend Shannon K.  She's the one in the tutu on the left in this photo ->
She is utterly fearless with her style: she has worn a dress made entirely of newspaper, the first time we met she was wearing a fabulous art-deco style dress and bare feet, and the last time I saw her she was rocking a flamenco-style wide-brimmed hat and red sequins. We've only met a few times through mutual friends, but I appreciate her artistry. You can read about her opinion on thrifting here.
I saw this photo and just about died, and I decided to try my own take on it. I have basically the exact same jacket, and though I lack a pink tutu, I have my black one.
 The fit is a little different as well, I think.
 That's our Christmas tree ->

 Loooooooove the shoulder and wrist details!

 Do you think I wear this necklace/earring combination enough? :P
I love that ring :)

By the way, this is my seventieth post! Break out the sparkling cider! WOOO! :)
Bye!

Because my hair wasn't short enough...

 I PROMISE I'M NOT GOING TO GO ANY SHORTER.
But it looks good, right? :) My gram's house is awesome for photo shoots.

I can't come up with an adequate title for this awesomeness...

Remember Matt, the star of this post and this post?  Of course you do: he's awesome. I don't have any more reports of our fashionable exploits quite yet, unfortunately, but I do have some good news! Allow me to introduce his new lookbook! A lookbook is basically what I do with less words and some pretty cool additional stuff, but they only let you post one photo per outfit. It's pretty neat.

I love this kid so much.

So yeah, it is my privilege to introduce this marvelous new addition to the internet! Leave him lots of nice comments and stuff! :D

Business... casual?

 I don't think I've fully realized that it's winter yet...

 But I really enjoyed this outfit today ^_^
 My computer's acting weird so I couldn't flip this one, sorry.
LONAN IS A WIN.

He is fascinated by my shiny display of necklaces hanging on a glowing lamp. Wonder why?

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, we had MLK Monday off and yesterday was a snow day :D If the rumors are true, we may have Friday off as well.

I love my family :D

 Saturday, January 15.
 Family party of awesome! See little cousins above.^

 A giant shout-out to my Aunt MaryAnne, who threw the party and presented me with this lovely brooch which belonged to my great-grandmother Genevieve and the pendant necklace below! Hi Aunt MaryAnne!
 Awesome shot ->
 Each charm on the bracelet is from a different play I was in, and the round one is from my first communion.

People called me "kaleidoscope" "psychedelic" "dizzying" "Oh, Taylor."

 Hey, at least I have some individuality! :D

I felt really classy. ^_^
 I'm really enjoying the new layout.

 This look sorta kinda had a White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland motif... Clock necklace, rabbit skirt... Maybe I'm just silly.
